This week we are handing in our photographies, showing our gained knowledge of our camera, photo theory and practical use. To show our photoskills, we must provide ten photos covering:
- Night Photo ‑ hint: slow sync
- Freeze water ‑ hint: fast shutter speed
- «Misty / veil» ‑ hint: slow sync
- The golden section ‑ hint: composition
- Motion blur ‑ hint: shutter
- Contrast ‑ hint: dark‑light, big‑tiny
- Low key or high key ‑ hint: exposure
- Curves and lines ‑ hint: composition
- Drawing with Light ‑ hint: slow sync
- Depth ‑ hint: first, middle and background
- The images may be cropped, but not manipulated
Here are my ten photos:
I chose three favourite images to analyze.
1:

- Aperture: f5.6
- Shutter Speed: 1/125
- ISO: 500
- Focal Length: 18mm
Reflection:
This photo works well due to its composition. It has a foreground, middle and background, the centre in focus. The foreground has an excellent descending line, the tree taking centre stage, and the farm far back in the hillside gives a lovely accent.
I feel the camera settings are relatively good for this photo, keeping the exposure triangle in balance.
2:

- Aperture: f5.6
- Shutter Speed: 1/125
- ISO: 500
- Focal Length: 18mm
I took this photo to represent lines and curves. The architecture in the background has straight lines and defined curves, creating a contrasting backdrop to the plant in the foreground.
The photo’s complementary colours, red and green, is pleasing to the eye, and the composition is balanced.
I think the camera settings are well balanced. The photo has 18 mm focal length listed in its information, but I think it is probably 30 mm.

- Aperture: f3.5
- Shutter Speed: 6.0
- ISO: 100
- Focal Length: 18mm
I took this photo at night with slow shutter speed to be able to draw with light. I liked the final result.
The camera settings are pretty wild here, but it gave me the opportunity to capture the movement of the light, giving this doodle impression.
