Brief:
A21 is an international organisation working to eliminate human trafficking and abolish injustice in the 21st Century. In 2015 the organisation had 11 offices in 10 countries, including Norway. You can read more about them here: http://www.a21.org/
Your job is to design a poster for A21 for a public awareness campaign targeted towards Norwegians. The purpose of this campaign is to get people to change their attitudes towards this subject as well as to create awareness around the issue. Remember, awareness campaigns often use intellect and emotion to highlight their messages.
The poster should showcase a name, slogan and any additional text you would like to add. The “hero” of the poster should however be an impactful photograph. Ask a friend, fellow student or family member to model for you. The photos should be taken outdoors using mainly natural light. If you would like to, you may use external flashes to supplement the natural light. You may also create illustrations and graphics for your poster, as long as it does not distract from the photograph.

Approach
My campaign poster will be aimed at adults and appeal to their love of children. We protect our children and want the best for them. We don’t want children to suffer, and if we can imagine our own children being in pain, in slavery or abused, we may act on these emotions. A campaign seeks action.
The eyes are the window into our soul. We all remember this photo:

Sketches

I initially wanted to have a serious face in black and white, with the eye being in colour with the reflection of a happy child jumping within. But after having taken the photos I realized that this wouldn’t communicate what I wanted (it would look more like a sad child watching someone being happy, not a sad child dreaming of happiness). I, therefore, made a second sketch where I added a handprint, communicating stop.
