Learning Activity – Form and Space – week 10

In this learning activity we are working with ground and shapes. While we experiment with different shapes and composition we explore the moment a figure passes from the foreground to the background.

In this example I went from the black squares clearly being in the foreground ending up with a composition in the last image where the white grid is becoming the foreground. The compositions two and three are somewhere between these.

In these two images, I used the same shapes but placed them differently. Because the white dissapears into the rest of the webpage, the effect dissapears some what. But in the first the black shapes stand out, in the second the black and white equally becomes foreground/background.
